As I sit here and write this, I look around the office at 130 people I didn’t know just 60 months ago. It’s a lot to take in. Some of the people, since starting at Bold, have got their first apartment, got married, had kids, purchased houses, and so much more. I often wonder, through spouses and families, just how many lives are affected by this company. When I pull up to the office and see a parking lot full of cars, I wonder where all these people would be if Bold didn’t exist. Not to mention the near 50,000 stores that rely on our apps and services daily to run their business. It’s truly a humbling feeling.

Winnipeg-based tech company, Bold Commerce, has been named to Startup 50's ranking of Canada’s Top New Growth Companies by Canadian Business and PROFIT.  

Bold placed sixth and is the only Manitoba company on the list.

Bold’s high ranking is thanks in part to a 1,257 per cent growth in revenue between 2013 and 2015.

Last week we had the pleasure of hanging out at Shopify’s headquarters in Ottawa, spending time with a number of the staff that work there. The four of us were not 100% sure what to expect on the flight down. We of course heard many great things, watched multiple clips on the news about the company and dealt with a lot of the staff. However, just like when spending a week living at someone’s house, you see all the dirty private details of the way they live.  The same is with a business.
