Black Friday is less than a month away, so if you haven't already, now is the time to plan, prep, and most importantly let your customers know what's coming down the pipeline!

88% of small business owners say social media is effective for branding, content, marketing, and word of mouth.

So staying on top of your social game is key to your BFCM success. Incase you still need convincing, here are a few more reasons:

Social media is HUGE for driving sales

You can't make a second first impression. When potential customers are shopping around for the best deal, they're for sure going to see what the deal is on your social profiles, so make sure your accounts properly reflect your business.

Make sure to optimize your social media profiles

Complete your profile(s), add a catchy bio, and see if you can incorporate a hashtag or two. Yes this seems basic, but take it from someone who spends a ton of time online - this step is often overlooked.

Social media as organic SEO is extremely important. When your brand is talked about and mentioned on social, it sends a positive signal to Google saying your website is more authoritative and will rank it higher on search engines.

Think of social media platforms like additional storefronts for your eCommerce site. It drives new customers back to your web store, generating leads for ⅓ of the cost.

Yes, advertising on social media will cost you a bit of money, but it will guarantee you have the best possible reach to bring in traffic.

One big benefit of advertising on social is the effective targeting capabilities. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter give you the ability to find your ideal target audience via demographics, locations, and interests.

For example you can target people who are age 21-54, live in North America, own homes, earn $50-100K, and like watching Game of Thrones. Pretty focused targeting eh? Just think about the possibilities...
