Introducing Multi-Currency Billing for Shopify
We just released a new feature for Bold's Multi-Currency app for Shopify that will not only convert prices, but actually charge your customers in the currency of their choice!
We've just added an awesome new feature to Bold's Multi-Currency app that lets your customers shop AND pay in any currency they like!
Last year the United States didn't even crack the top 3 countries for online shopping, so offering your products in USD only can limit your sales. Not to mention when a customer has to leave your store to calculate the currency conversion themselves, 65% of them won't make it back to your site.
Luckily, Bold's Multi-Currency app allows customers to view your products in over 150 currencies, keeping them on your store.
The app provides a localized shopping experience by automatically changing your product's prices to their local currency, meaning customers can shop (and pay!) in ANY currency they want without any manual calculations.
But here's the best part. The ability to check out in the customer's native currency is a feature that's entirely new to Shopify.
How it works
When a customer visits your store, the app automatically determines their location using their IP address. Powerful built-in

Billing in multiple currencies
This is the new feature that we're so excited to tell you about. Your customers now have the option to not only select different currencies to shop in, but they'll actually be billed in them too!
This has the added benefit of avoiding expensive credit card conversion fees, which can come as a surprise to international buyers and turn them off from future orders.
We'll show you how to upgrade your checkout to unlock the abilty to offer this awesome new feature? Here's a walk through video that will set you up with everything you need to know!
Why you need a multi-currency app
1) To scale your business
Last year the United States didn't even crack the top 3 countries for online shopping, so why offer your products in USD only!
2) Make it look professional
Once the price is converted, prices will look short and sweet, rounded exactly the way you choose.
You can create as many rules as you want, and all numbers will be rounded on the product level, not the cart like other apps. This way it's always accurate, displaying the price the customer expects.
3) Decrease abandoned carts
An unknown currency can make it difficult for consumers to understand the true cost of their purchases (sometimes scaring them away).
In fact, stats show that if a customer visits your site and has to leave to calculate the preferred currency, a whopping 65% of them will not return!
That's a LOT of missed sales, and the reason why offering mulit-currency makes such a significant impact to your online store.
Did we mention it's free?...
This is the only multi-currency app on Shopify that lets your customers pay in the currency of their choice, offers real-time currency conversions, auto rounding at the product level, over 150 currencies, and conversion padding with no fees. Seriously, it's free.
The app works great on any theme, and looks good too! So go ahead and give it a shot! Grab the app and try it out for yourself today.
